An eSIM (embedded SIM) is a small chip located inside many smart phones, tablets and wearables that you can use to connect to cellular networks across the globe without the need for a physical SIM card. It requires no swapping or physical changing of sim cards and only needs to be supported by the carrier which you use.
You can get the Smart eSIM at any Faiba Shop nationwide
No. An eSim works simultaneously with your existing SIM card. This means that you can have two mobile numbers and two cellular plans on the same device.
You can request to have your existing number transferred to your eSIM by visiting your nearest Faiba Shop.
You will only pay Ksh. 150 at any of our dealers or outlets. However, if you are a new Faiba client then you will only need to activate your line with the minimum top up of Ksh. 300.
Scan the QR code you were provided with at registration to re-download your eSIM.
Yes. You can have multiple profiles on your eSIM. However, you may use only one number at a time
If you have registered your eSIM to a particular eSIM-supporting device, your eSIM will be unique to that first device you have registered it to. If you want to switch to another eSIM-supporting device in the future and use the same number, you are required to activate another eSIM profile (the first eSIM profile will then be automatically deactivated).
Contact our customer care on Tel: 0747 585 100 or Email: customercare@jtl.co.ke to temporarily suspend your eSIM profile. If you later find your device, we can reconnect your service. However, if you cannot find your device, you can request a replacement SIM card or eSIM for a new device when required.
