Language is more than just words it is a bridge between people, cultures, businesses and opportunities. As the world becomes increasingly connected the ability to communicate across borders has never been more important.
It was against this backdrop that Jamii Telecommunications Limited (JTL) General Manager, Strategy & Innovation, Cyrus Sang attended the launch of the School of Languages at Great Lakes University of Kisumu. Marking an important milestone in the University's commitment to preparing graduates and professionals for an increasingly global world.
The new School of Languages aims to equip learners with the communication skills and cultural awareness needed to engage confidently beyond Kenya's borders. From pursuing international employment opportunities to working with people from different cultures, strong language skills can open doors that might otherwise remain closed.
The launch also highlighted the growing relationship between education, technology and the workplace. Today's graduates are entering a world where they may work with colleagues in different countries, serve international customers or participate in global digital platforms. Being able to communicate effectively across cultures is therefore becoming just as valuable as technical expertise.
As JTL, we are proud to celebrate initiatives that empower young people with skills, knowledge and confidence to participate in the global economy.
